Jinjer with Hanabie and special guest Born Of Osiris at The Danforth Music Hall in Toronto, Canada. 09/23/24

Jinjer led by Tatiana Shmayluk, once again rocked Toronto at The Danforth Music Hall, and traveling with them are Hanabie as well as the progressive metalcore Born Of Osiris as support on their North American Tour 2024.

With great animosity, Born Of Osiris from Chicago, Illinois. Formed in 2003, started their set and immediately gained the attention of the audience. Lead singer Ronnie Canizaro one of the founding members, made sure to deliver a nice set that kept the venue entertained and engaged. In the same way, showing off their talents, he is also supported by another long-time band member Cameron Losch on drums which really puts a great sound with very fast beats behind his kit, and Lee McKinney, rhythm guitarist, and in Bass /keyboardist Nick Rossi.

Born Of Osiris played a variety of tunes from their breakthrough album “The New Reign” and “Angel and Alien” as well as “Tomorrow We Die Alive” with songs like “Open Arms to Damnation”, “Bow Down”, “Elevate”, and while playing “Abstract Art” reached a higher point having the Torontonians super pumped with their performance. The band finished their set with a song entitled “Machine.”

After a short wait, next to appear on the stage was a Metalcore / Hardcore band directly from Tokyo, Japan, called “Hanabie”, formed in 2015. Let me tell you that this band started a solid display of kicked-ass nonstop energy that captivated the Torontonians right from the beginning! I was so mesmerized by their powerful performance from the way they played their instruments so effortlessly and flawlessly the entire set, we all were quite shocked by their performance!!!

Hanabie consists of vocalist Yukina, guitarist Matsuri, bassist Hettsu, and drummer Chika. This all-lady band has very catchy songs and a super high vibe, such as “O•TA•KU Lovely Densetsu”, where the audience was engaged with the band, “Neet Game”,  “Kotoshi koso Gal”, “Tales of Villain” and many more definitely a must see live band.

It was now time for the main act, the Ukrainian progressive metal band Jinjer. Tatiana Shmayluk, and the rest of the band wasted no time in delivering a powerful set for the crowd in Toronto. With her charming looks and astonishing voice, in conjunction with her stage presence, the Queen of Metal (as I like to call her) put out an amazing show with a variety of songs from their albums “Wallflowers”, “King of Everything”, “Macro”, as well as promoting a few new songs such as Fast Draw, Rogue, and Someone’s Daughter from their upcoming 5th new album that will be released very soon (Date TBD).

Throughout the night Jinjer continued to blow all of us with such a great performance. Roman Ibramkhalilov shredded riffs with his guitar, Eugene Abdukhanov on Bass, which sounded deep and crisp clear, and Vladislav Ulasevich beating his drums fast and hard. Such a wicked groop watching live.

With two Canadian cities on their busy schedule, Jinjer started their North American Tour at Sayreville, NJ, a few days ago and will continue throughout September until mid-October, by the way, Tatiana has hinted about returning on the road for next year, so do not miss out on checking them on this North American Tour,
