Dawn of Ouroboros: Ethereal Ferocity in Motion

Opening the evening at 8:30 PM, Dawn of Ouroboros delivered a mesmerizing 35-minute set that transported the audience into a realm where blackened progressive metal meets atmospheric beauty. Drawing from their latest album, Bioluminescence, released in March 2025, the band showcased tracks like “Slipping Burgundy” and “Dueling Sunsets,” enveloping the venue in a tapestry of haunting melodies and intricate rhythms.

Frontwoman Chelsea Murphy’s vocals seamlessly transitioned from ethereal whispers to powerful growls, captivating the audience with every note. The band’s synergy was palpable, each member contributing to a soundscape that was both aggressive and beautiful. Their performance was a testament to their growth and the mastery they’ve achieved in blending genres to create something uniquely their own.

Baroness: A Journey Through Red & Blue

Taking the stage at 9:35 PM, Baroness embarked on a 95-minute odyssey through their seminal albums, Red and Blue, as part of their “Red & Blue” tour.  The band’s performance was a masterclass in dynamic range, weaving through uplifting melodies, dramatic crescendos, and defiant riffs that kept the audience enthralled.

John Baizley’s vocals and guitar work were both commanding and emotive, guiding the audience through a setlist that felt both nostalgic and invigorating. The band’s chemistry was evident, each member contributing to a cohesive sound that resonated deeply with fans. The crowd’s energy mirrored the band’s intensity, creating a reciprocal atmosphere of passion and appreciation.
