For the first time after more than two years of lock downs and postponed events due to COVID-19, Dream Theater, the masters of progressive metal, paid a visit to Toronto for one of their shows on Canadian soil. They feature four tour dates in Canada for their North American “Top of The World Tour.”

Falset, the opening act, a Canadian band from Ontario featuring Chance LaBrie (drums), son of Dream theater’s singer James LaBrie brought their music to entertain the audience with an amazing energy and a fresh atmosphere in their set. Falset is currently on tour for their late 2020 debut release We Follow or Lead the Way.

Right at 9:00 pm on the dot with amazing visuals displayed over their backdrops that were well synchronized with their music, Dream Theater took the stage. The band will take you to places you have never imagined, with songs like “The Alien” a masterpiece of technicality, as well as “Awaken The Master” both from their new album, A View From the Top of the World.

Dream Theater kept the audience mesmerized and chanting their music the entire time. John Petrusci (guitar), John Myung (bass), Jordan Rudess (keyboard), Mike Mangini (drums) led by James La Brie (the vocalist), with now almost 40 years of music to draw from, they put on an amazing show.
