Insane Clown Posse’s Shaggy 2 Dope’s F.T.F.O.M.F. Tour at The Lost Horizon

Winter has finally hit hard in upstate NY, temperatures are starting to feel like subzero, there are piles of snow everywhere. Its definitely the sure sign of an upstate winter is entrenched here. Even though it’s a mere 10 degrees this past Sunday night, Shaggy 2 Dope’s F.T.F.O.M. 2019 brought some noise and heated up Syracuse’s legendary Lost Horizon. The F.T.F.O.M.F Tour 2019 featuring Shaggy 2 Dope (Insane Clown Posse, Dark Lotus), Ouija Macc, along with some local talent, Trip God, Mak Hatchet and Flesruoy Llik.

Now, far as local talent is concerned, Syracuse and nearby cities have no shortage of it! First up Flesruoy Llik to set the stage for the night. Donning lucha libre style mask with no shortage of stage props, this horrorcore rap 4 piece, I must say is not only interesting but dangerous. To clarify, not only do they perform some intense and complicated raps but do their own stunts, whether it’s taking a folding chair to head or stapling signs to their bodies with staple guns these guys literally punish themselves for your entertainment.

Next to take the stage is Syracuse local Mak Hatchet.  I have to say that after seeing his performance last time at the Lost Horizon, I became a fan. Mak’s music is not only evil sounding but is catchy and gets your body moving. Hitting on such subjects as horror and violence he delivers and puts on a very intense set. Stated before I do recommend you coming out and catching him next time around you won’t be disappointed! Also, Syracuse local Trip God performed a brief set which got the crowd moving in the pit.

With only a brief set change and sound check the stage was set for the evenings co-headliner, Ouija Macc! Originally from Sin City, Las Vegas. I can best describe him as not only evil but intense and amazing to see perform live on stage, considering he was legally declared dead once, true story look it up! I can’t begin to describe his set other than it was 100% high octane, Ouija Macc with Dj Chunk put on a performance that got the crowd jumping, moshing and singing along. Ouija Macc is out on tour in support of his new cd Waterdamage which was release on Psychopathic Records. Ouija Macc’s persona and stage presence really reminds of the old school punk feel with horrorcore rap, not only does he put himself out in the mix but gets the audience completely involved. Some song highlights from his set I really got into were “Other Side,” “Choker,” and “ Ready (Spaghetti). Overall, an incredible artist and performer an if you like high energy horrorcore rap, Ouija Macc is must see!

Now onto the evenings headliner! The one and only original southwest wicked clown, Shaggy 2 Dope! The stage goes dark the “Imperial March” intro starts to pump out of the speakers, the crowd starts getting restless waiting for the headliner to take the stage. It wasn’t long before the original wicked clown himself stormed the stage going right into “Tell These Bitches,” off his new solo album F.T.F.O.M.F. I must admit I did have some reservations of seeing Shaggy 2 Dope solo mainly not sure what to expect considering I have always seen him perform with Violent J as Insane Clown Posse but, I was amazed and blown away! I can’t recall anytime while he was on stage that he wasn’t moving, jumping, and hi fiving fans in the audience. Shaggy performed a killer mix of songs from his early solo work and some incredible Insane Clown Posse classics including one of my favorites off the Great Milenko album “Southwest Voodoo.” Some other songs that were really intense live was “Bazooka Joey,” “The Knife,” and “Birthday Bitches.”

Shaggy 2 Dope along with Ouija Macc and Syracuse local artists definitely put on one intense show this past Sunday night in Syracuse at the Lost Horizon. Please enjoy the photo gallery.
