The 2016 Vans Warped Tour will be making its first appearance in Syracuse at the New York State Fairgrounds on Thursday July 7. For fans of punk rock and music festivals the tour is expected to be one of the best tours of the summer.
Warped Tour is celebrating its 22nd birthday this year and the impressive lineup includes Warped Tour veterans Less Than Jake, Yellowcard, Sum 41 and We the Kings. Though music is the main reason fans attend the Vans Warped Tour, fans can also expect tents with freebies, contests, and band meet-and-greets through the various Warped Tour sponsors.
The 2016 lineup also includes Syracuse’s own One Last Shot. I had an opportunity to speak to One Last Shot’s front man Jeremy Romance about how it feels to be playing the Warped Tour in his hometown. Here is what Jeremy had to say, “So this is our 3rd time playing the Vans Warped Tour. First time was in 2014 on the Kevin Says Stage in Darien Lake, NY and the second time was last year on the Ernie Ball Stage also in Darien Lake, NY. I’m very excited to be playing our hometown Warped Tour. It’s the first time ever for it to be in Syracuse and I’m very honored to have been asked by Kevin Lyman to play it. We’re really excited to see our friends and family there!”
