Bush Delivers a High-Energy, Sold-Out Performance at The Vine Showroom at del Lago Resort & Casino

Photo and Review by Chris Besaw

Bush, the multi-platinum English rock band, treated fans to another sold-out show at The Vine Showroom at Del Lago Resort & Casino in Waterloo, New York. Currently on tour in support of their tenth studio album, I Beat Loneliness (released July 18, 2025), the band headlined under their own name this time—unlike some previous stops at the venue.

A soulful rendition of their iconic hit “Glycerine” played as the intro before they took the stage, instantly setting the tone. The crowd erupted in cheers and nostalgic sighs as soon as the familiar acoustic strains filled the room—many fans started singing along softly, phones lit up in the air, and the anticipation built palpably, with excited murmurs and whoops rippling through the audience. It was the perfect warm-up, priming everyone for the night ahead.

Then, lead singer Gavin Rossdale, along with lead guitarist Chris Traynor, bassist Corey Britz, and drummer Nik Hughes, burst onto the stage and launched straight into the hard-hitting classic “Everything Zen” from their 1994 debut Sixteen Stone. The song sounded incredible live, delivering an intensity and raw energy that the studio version simply can’t match.

The audience—mostly women eager for a glimpse, fist bump, or moment with the charismatic Rossdale—was pumped for the Sixteen Stone staples. While crowd favorites like “Machinehead,” “Glycerine,” and “Flowers on a Grave” were excellent as always, some of the night’s most compelling highlights came from newer material: “Heavy Is the Ocean,” “Scars,” “More Than Machines,” and the title track “I Beat Loneliness.” These tracks beautifully showcased the band’s evolution, blending their signature post-grunge edge with fresh, mature songwriting.

A standout moment occurred during “Flowers on a Grave,” when Gavin bravely ventured offstage, sprinting through the crowd for dances, quick selfies, and high-fives. He even leaped over a barrier to race through the first tier of seating, past the bar, and back to the stage—much to the delight of ecstatic fans. Upon returning, Rossdale looked genuinely elated, proving once again his remarkable ability to connect with the audience.

Overall, it was an unforgettable night of music. Bush demonstrated that they still sound phenomenal and continue to release strong material nearly 30 years into their career. With plenty of dates left on this tour, don’t miss your chance to catch them live.
