Tribulation North America Tour 2025. With Final Gasp, Early Moods and Unreqvited at Lee’s Palace. Toronto

Tribulation landed in Canada with two unforgettable performances, in Montreal and Toronto, being part of their Second leg of their North America 2025 Tour with Final Gasp, Early Moods, & Unreqvited.

It was a great night for Metal music going from Doom and atmospheric genres starting by the black metal band from Ottawa, Canada called Unreqvited. Although I was not very familiar with this band they were the perfect fit to start the night delivering a really well put show. Definitely need to check them out!

Next, band to step on the stage was a Metal band from Los Angeles, California Early Moods known for their doom and stoner rock sound with a touch of NWOBHM influence, that pays homage to bands like Candlemass, Witchfinder General, Pentagram, and Black Sabbath, have been described as a powerful and engaging live act.

The band delivered a polished and professional performance, with catchy riffs and captivating live energy that made the entire Lee’s Place with their absolutely deep and Doomy sounds Early Moods is lead by Alberto Alcaraz (vocals/synth). Eddie Andrade (guitar), Oscar Hernandez (guitar), Chris Flores (drums), and Elix Felciano (bass). I was lucky enough to chat with the band and they all are very friendly and shared their backgrounds and interests. If you are looking for refresh sound of New Wave Of British Heavy Metal you will definitely find it in Early Moods check them out!

Setlist:

After a short break, the next band to appear on the stage was the Boston-based deathrock dealers, Final Gasp, who started the night off with a harrowing journey through all things hardcore, metal, and goth. Although the attendance at Lee’s Palace was still really low, that did not deter the band from delivering a solid performance for those who witnessed their set was short but impactful by Final Gasp devering their Metal and Goth sounds with a great stage presence by the lead vocalist, Jake Murphy, as well as Kevin “Tank” Ordway behind the drums, Peter Micanovic on Bass, Colman O’Brien, and Derek Schepici, on guitars,

Setlist:

Now it was time for the headliner Tribulation from Sweden being Toronto their last day of their tour by now the attendance was almost at its full capacity and we were already excited to enjoy them one more time back to Toronto after their last visit last fall in support of Opeth.

Tribulation offered a very robust setlist that went for almost two hours going from their latest album release to “Sub rosa in æternum”, “ The Children of the Night”, Down Below, Hamartia, and Formulas of death. Their highlight songs in my opinion were “Hamartia, “Suspiria De Profundis”,  “Melancholia”, “In Remembrance”, and their closer song “Strange Gateways Beckon”. The entire band had such a great presence all over the stage by lead vocalist Johannes Andersson always interacting with the crowd as well as Adam Zaars andJoseph Tholl both in guitars delivering great riffs.

Toronto was very lucky to have been the last date of this amazing tour and all the bands delivered such a great show and I can’t wait to see any of these bands back in the city.
