IDKHOW Plays for a SOLD OUT Crowd at Syracuse’s Song and Dance 5/23/25

Photos and Review by Dot Peck

Last night, I finally crossed a massive item off my bucket list: photographing I DONT KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME live. And let me tell you—they did not disappoint.

IDKHOW lit up the Song & Dance with one of the most electric, stylish, and immersive sets I’ve ever witnessed. From the moment they stepped on stage, the energy was undeniable—slick visuals, perfect lighting, and an audience that knew every word. Dallon Weekes doesn’t just perform—he commands. His charisma and theatrical flair pulled every single person in like we were all part of the act. And the band’s blend of glam, alt, and retro-pop? Even tighter live than on record.

As a photographer, this show was a dream. The lighting was moody but dramatic, the styling on point, and the crowd interaction made for some of my favorite candid shots I’ve ever captured. Every frame felt like it belonged on a vinyl sleeve. There was something cinematic about it all—like a cult classic unfolding in real time.

Whether you’re a longtime fan or new to their world, this show proves that IDKHOW isn’t just a band—they’re a full-blown experience. And for me? It was unforgettable.
