I’m super excited to open the 2024 concert season with a fantastic presentation of Twin Temple with special guest VOWWS at The Opera House in Toronto on their North American Tour, God is Dead.
People gathered early outside of the venue, excited to see Twin Temple, who were playing Toronto (and Canada) for the very first time. Some of the attendees were dressed in ’50s and ’60s fashion, in addition some fans added Satanic Paraphernalia to their costumes, such as inverted crosses, Baphomet images, and were wearing black nail polish.
Twin Temple gets their roots from Los Angeles, CA and formed in 2017. They have proved that their genre Satani Doo-wop with a blues sound has gained them a lot of followers. The band is led by Alexandra James, and Zachary James and they are responsible for creating their sounds from Vocals, Percussions, Drums, Piano, guitars and Bass.
Throughout the night, the couple showed their love for music and for each other you can tell by the way they performed on stage, and looked at each other the entire night, as well as their interaction with their fans. Alexandra showed off her great voice and had a 60’s classic era way of dancing. Let’s not forget their touring band which consists of four black dressed devil Minos (a Keyboardists, Bassist, Drummer and a Brass player).
Alexandra and Zachary showed the way they use their love of Satan with a large backdrop Baphomet with some amazing scenery and some other satanic features including a large black altar in the middle of the stage with skulls, a few chalices and inverted crosses. They call their show a satanic ritual versus a concert performance.
Alexandra used her charm expressing her love for Satan in a satiric way (but always very serious). Their set included “Sex Magick,” “I’m a Witch,” “Lucifer, My Love,” and “Be a Slut.” They even ended the evening with a satanic procession mimicking the sacrifice of a young soul leaving the fans wanting more.
Twin Temple also offers a Meet and Great experience for those hard-core fans.
