Syracuse NY based hard rockers Dracula Jones celebrated their 25th Anniversary this past October by performing a series of shows in the upstate region. I was extremely honored to be invited by guitarist Edmond Ordez to come and watch their warm up show at the Moondog’s Lounge in Auburn. It was a very nice intimate show before the main bash which took place at the famed Lost Horizon, which is where the local legends began their musical career. It was very exciting for me to see a band to whom I watched perform many times growing up in the area over the years in a very small and intimate setting considering I’m used to attending their shows where its packed so tightly you cant move.
The band played a intense set consisting of a great selection of songs from their 25 year career, including some of my favorites like ” Drive A Train”, “Oblivion”, “Wild Flower Sea”, “Wannabe” and who can forget “Shove.” If you did not make it out to one of the three shows that took place, you truly missed a intense and incredible string of shows by one of Syracuse’s greatest hard rock bands.
